Man I really Dislike rap

I heard a rap song a few days ago that really ment somthing
dont know why just hit a point with me

I was suprised

Got me thinking about rap
So he gets props for me

then again the thing I hate about rap is basically

You obviously haven't heard the right rap/hip-hop. Try avoiding the stuff that gets radio/video airplay for the most part. There's plenty of clever, intelligent lyrics and great beats in a lot of the music in the underground. There's probably some great local hip-hop in your own local scene. I'm not an expert on the stuff, but if you're willing to dig past what the mainstream offers you, you'll often find great music in just about any genre. Hip hop is no exception.

I'm old, therefore, I like old rap. Boogie Down Productions, Public Enemy, Eric B & Rakim, UTFO (just kidding!), Slick Rick, etc.; and there were like two or three girl rappers that I can't think of right now...like I said, I'm old.
