I heard Vega did a split w/ Mika Vaino of Panasonic, and that it was...... . . . not that great. Just basically Vega spouting poetry over detuned and destructed casios...

We all Know FAUSTand CAN ruled the pack......but back to our guys in Suicide...Vega/Rev were miles ahead their time...I always find it to be such bullshit that the wanker in Silver Apples gets credit for building the first loops/synth devices when these guys had a huge part in it as well. Someone needs to tell tell Trent Reznor the jig is up.......the kids want to listen to the real deal......Rev just put out a solo record that is actually quite entertaining.....an mp3 or 2 can be found at epitonic

I heard the new Suicide wasn't that good, but I'll check out the solo effort...

As for building equipment, what about Chris Carter... he was building virtual sampler keyboards using tape decks for christ sake, and god, don't get me started w/ guys like Steve Reich, and Eno, Fripp, Cage, Reilly, ...

Now adays, all you have to do is get Flood to produce your LP with a bunch of swooshy noises and tight drum compression and you're Golden, Meh.
