Help me out: A certain girl at my work takes my recommendations as to what cds to purchase and then she gives me her advice on which ones I must own. I have occasionally bought a few horrid disks, though most of her choices are great, so I’m asking your guys’ advice as a back-up. So, which of these should I throw down cash for and which should I run from in fear?????

Her latest list:

The muthafuckin' Finn Brothers. Or just grab the best of Crowded House (entitled Reoccuring Dream) and rock out to that greatness. I have heard Everyone Is Here is great though.

The Libertines, of course.. I'd get the first Mooney Suzuki disc first.. I'm assuming you don't have it, cuz you'd probably have a good idea on this one if you did..

My two cents:
Westerberg. Maybe the Libertines.
The Mooney Suzuki album cover looks like an old Buddy Miles album or something. Buy that instead.
That Matthew Sweet is fucking awful. Someone recommended that to you?!
I also have to agree with Anton. Why buy the Finn Brothers newest if you do not yet own some Crowded House? Start there.

I only listen to salsa.

I got the libertines and the finn brothers. the finn brpothers was a real dissapointment. go buy 'try whistling this' by Neil Finn alone (Tim Finn can't sing).

The libitines are one of the most exciting bands my island has produced in years. rough and ready garage mixed by Mick Jones. Pete Doherty is a legend.

can't help with the rest.

Ambulance ltd. by far. I've been listening to that one all summer and I'm still not bored with it. It's laid back, psychedelic pop rock with stunning melodies that grow on you with each listen.

The Secret Machines disc is solid too.

The Mooney Suzuki disc was produced by the Matrix. I think we know the answer there.
