Former pop singer Cat Stevens, who penned such songs as "Moonshadow" and "Wild World" has been deported to Britain after what US officials say are activities that could be linked to terrorism -- specifically for what is believed to be purported donations to the alleged terrorist group known as Hamas in the former singer's name.

Stevens, who took on the name Yusuf Islam after putting aside his music career to become a Muslim peace activist in the late 1970's, had his name show up on a US "no fly" list (a list designed to keep terrorists out of the US) while on a flight from London en-route to Washington.

The flight was already in US territory when Islam's name was detected, and the plane was ordered to land at Bangor International Airport in Maine where he was removed from the plane questioned by the FBI and put on the next available flight to Britain.

In more recent times, in regards to the September 11 attacks, Stevens said ...

No right-thinking follower of Islam could possibly condone such an action: the Koran equates the murder of one innocent person with the murder of the whole of humanity.

Its a wild world indeed.

Uh, did you suggest the belt buckle on the boards as possible merch? Cos me and Traumatron thought SG playing cards would be cool, started a thread and hey presto, they were in the shop a few months later.
I thought the fact they used the idea was really, really cool.

I'm sure the Cat Stevens allegations would turn out to be a load of BS.

13 minute time difference on the threads, probably had nothing to do with your post. You should have put it on the newswire instead of just throwing it on the boards.

Well, I think we can all agree that his music blew, and also that he can in no way have the testicles to be a terrorist. He doesn't have it in him, man. But if he fell off the face of the earth, I wouldn't give a shit.

Heavy Metal is the Law ARRR!!!

Yusuf Islams song 'Seal of the prophet' is quite cool.

But, yeah, he is dorkish.
