MUSIC: Motorhead Cancel Tour

While on tour in Europe last month Lemmy injured his foot, and in true rock n' roll fashion went against doctor's orders and continued to play the remaining dates on the tour.

Unfortunately now Lemmy is forced to stay off his foot for several weeks so his foot can heal properly.

A statement from the band said ...

Motorhead plan to return to the US in March 2005.

This is utterly disappointing....... Damn feet.

Hey, even Lemmy needs to recuperate every now and then. I have a feeling I'll still be here to go see Motorhead.

Can't they just buy him a Hoveround?

This foot injury excuse is code for "we didn't sell enough tickets to make the tour profitable."

That's true of every Motorhead tour, though...They've never caught on here.

cynical, but wrong. they have a ton of european dates lined up for nov/dec and cant really risk not being able to make it through those.

...besides, its not like they were lined up to play arenas or anything.

Dude, that's just my point. They only cancelled the U.S. dates which were right in the middle of two sets of European dates.

Considering how sad arena rock is in the US compared with Europe -- if I were Lemmy I'd cancel the US dates too.

That sucks. I was going to go see them when they came to dallas. First Hank 3 cancels on me and now motorhead.

Whats next, is social d and tiger army going to cancel too?
