I wish I had an ashtray as big as a really fucking big brick to chuck at mtv.... but then I remember the hours of mindless entertainment they provided me in my younger years, and well.... where's that ashtray?

"To our love, send back all the letters.
To our love, a Valentine of blood
To our love, let all the jilted lovers cry
That people just ain't no good."

Did anyone see the thingy on MTV where they had the man-child singer of the smashing pumpkins interview Mr. Cave about the Lollipoozle tour? It was the funniest thing I've yet to see on television. Nick was not happy about the tour and he was even less happy about the interview and made that billy fellow look like a complete retard.

I do love me some 'and the ass saw the angel'. Reminds me of flannery o'connor mixed with david goodis mixed with something else that I can't really identify.

nick cave is great, and i have even more respect for him after having read that, BUT- i'm a little confused about the mention of kylie minogue in 1996. she wasn't even around then, was she?

I should be embarassed that I know that song! I was always shocked that she & nick teamed up. there were even rumors that they were married, but I think they are untrue...silly stuff.

I've loved Nick Cave's music for many years and respect his brilliant mind . It's hard for musicians to survive these days without M.T.V. but to willingly choose to work without their backing is usually carreer suicide . Not for him though . He has amassed enough of a fan following WITHOUT M.T.V. to do whatever he wants . Good for him .

I am pretty sure Mick and P.J. are brother and sister.
I have to agree that that Nick Cave kicks ass. I saw his solo show up in Seattle with Neko Case last year, she was pretty good too, his song 'God is in the House' is my favorite off of the new album.
And I always annoy everybody with Red Right Hand at parties

Adoration for Nick Cave, and mad love/lust for his honourability.
I might just marry a man like that.
