Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, makes an appearance in the new Metallica documentary Some Kind of Monster alongside his former bandmates. The approximately five emotionally charged minutes of footage utilized for the film featuring Mustaine, display in sombering detail the strong feelings Mustaine has endured following his forced departure from the group in 1982.
"If you watch the stuff linearly, it's totally different," Mustaine said. "They filmed three hours of us together and they only used about five minutes.
Mustaine claims his emotional and revealing nature during the filming was due to the terrorist attacks of 911 taking place a mere two days beforehand. He adds that when he agreed to participate in the filming of the project, he went in expecting to be treated as an equal with his former partners.
Some Kind of Monster is currently in limited release as of 9 July, with an additional release slated for 6 Aug.

They have been washed up hacks ever "the black album"... and further destoryed their image buy demonizing mp3 swapping...
Who the hell was dumb enough to make a shitty doc about them anyway... it's silly... people should boycott this "film" and any future music they make...

Sorry for the spelling errors...
Actually, it's being praised as a good film. Many critics are calling it an Oscar-caliber documentary. And this is coming from people who couldn't give a shit about Metallica, much less hard-rock in general.
I met Mustaine while working on the Warped Tour one year. It was an Ozzfest meets Warped date in Minnesota. Pretty much everyone thought he was an asshole.

Asshole or not, he made some pretty great music. I personally prefer Rust In Peace to anything Metallica ever put out. That's just me, though.

"They filmed three hours of us together and they only used about five minutes. Why didn't they use the part where Lars gets up and walks to the bathroom crying because I let him have it because of the sh-- that happened?"
Lars is a complete pussy and it's typical for him and Metallica to screw Mustaine over again. Mustaine has always been the better musician and the new Megadeth album is continuing proof of that, it shits all over anything Metallica have released in the past 10+ years.
