this guy's reason for being a better person is someone he is breaking up with.. that is bogus! he should of been the better person to begin with and his reason should be himself. the moment someone else has to carry the burden for you doing what you should, thats the moment you give yourself a built in excuse to fuck up. what happens when your reason(the other person) doesn't live upto your ideals? when your reason does something shitty? well now you can be an asshole again, right?

i personally don't like the song either. but i think your reason for thinking it's lame is bogus. i think the truth is you've been hurt,you've been on the other end(to whom the song is for), and you're just bitter. so everytime you hear the song, it pisses you off. fair enough that you don't like it. but people make mistakes and learn from them, although sometimes a bit too late. and it's better to be a better person with someone rather than noone. move on. 'cause i'm sure you're gonna meet another guy and perhaps he's gonna be "a better person" with you.

wow. For a song you claim you dislike, you certainly have gone through some time and effort to break it down to point out all it's faults.

That's why the ability to change stations and channels was invented, so that if something comes on you don't like, you can simply choose not to be bothered with it.

It really does work...

The singer looks really little in the video. He's dancing around like an action figure, it's hard for me to take it seriously. Oh yeah, and the name? Come on. If they were called The Hoobs, they would be more respectable, and that 's scary.
