It's on my list of things to see. Apparently von Trier nearly caused Nicole Kidman to have a breakdown, and put Bjork through hell during Dancer In the Dark. He's a complete bastard but I love his films. Watch The Idiots, everyone. And squirm.

Oh yes, that's the main reason I decided to watch Dancer in the Dark. Dogville was definately better. Brilliant film!

Too bad Nicole Kidman refuses to be in the two other parts of the trilogy that he's making out of it. She's gonna be replaced by Ron Howard's daughter.

And he's the reason that Bjork will never act again.

Then again, assholes generally make the best artists!

Bjork's awesome, and Dancer in the Dark is fantastic. I love the style of that movie so much. She's a really great actress, as she is an artist.

try to find some news footage of her beating the crap out of that guy at the airport

why do people feel the need to bring this up when talking about björk. if you don't like her then ok but that incident happened forever ago, does it really need to define her career or her as a person for the rest of her life?

about : the Bangkok incident
It's tricky like this Bangkok thing where I attacked this lady, I completely lost my temper. I'm not proud of it, I'll be ashamed of it for the rest of my life, but I was protecting him from my demons, from the silly things that have to do with my job.

That was probably the fourth time in my whole life that I have lost my temper. Basically there were eight camera crews there and my son was there too. It was like mother instinct. They were asking me questions and I said I will give a press conference later so they started asking my son personal questions! They were abusing the fact that he was a kid.

I know it was the wrong thing to do, but this energy came out of me that I never knew I had. There were three grown up males on my back and I just threw them off. I was just ready to kill anyone who touched my son's innocence

its almost as bad as the people who insist upon saying "the crazy chick who wore that swan dress?" there is so much more to her and her music than some incident with a nosey reporter and a dress she was brave enough to wear.

as far as dancer in the dark goes, i love it even though i cried like a baby. it’s my mission to get everyone i know to see it.

This is my very favorite movie.

As for suggestions, though, go through her website. When last I checked, she had every one of her music videos up there. See what you like.

She also has about fourteen thousand pictures of herself, which I find impressive.

Bjork is totally the Countess of Castiglione of her time.
