what is this...metalcore.... you speak off.... i dont get it, whos incharge of making up these music genre names?

Metalcore is basically metal sounding guitar and drums with breakdowns that you can dance too... like hardcore dancing. Basically it is just metal.

so you mean like Rammstien and Korn?

wait, metal core.... like avenged sevenfold..... uh...dont get me wrong.. i like avenged.... but uh, isnt that just.... metal?... korn....isnt that just metal?.... sorry but i just get annoyed too easily i supose when it comes to this stuff. like avenged sevenfold... thats just really good riffs... good vocalist... good music... but i wouldntt say they do anything SOOOOOOOO different than anyone else to get this new classification.

and tak you are right you get annoyed too easily. i dont know if avenged is metal or metalcore and i dont care, but if you cant hear the meatal in it you arent listining. plus it would be a crime to classify those two bands together. only one has any talent and they arent named after somthing you find in poop

wow, do you read the comments that are written LOL, or just get so eager to post you answer then read i said in my comment that yes they were metal and that i was a fan of them, and korn, to each his own wether they have talent or not... and why not be classified together ... they are both metal, good or bad talented or not. i just got annoyed by the constant new genre classifications people come out with music simply so they can label their brand and say they listen to something different..... forgive me i managed a CD store for 2 years so it gets annoying when everyday 15 different "metal bands" each havin a different class all have their own section. its all the same, dont get me wrong i love all of it but annoys me when i hear people say, hardcore sux its gay, then that same person will turn around and say , metal core is the shit... its just retarded is all, its all metal

someone should start a band called Mike Vicodin and the Darvecettes, i would myself, but i can't play and don't have any friends. they would probly sound like motown punk psychedelia

im just a lil drunk and compleatly exausted. in fact why i am still up i dont knnow. so i guess in the time between when i read your comment and commented myself i must have forgotten exactly what you said and started talking to myself. you are right about the whole genre overabundance it is kindof overdone. i just stick to the basics metal jazz blues punk or whatever the subclassifications are confusing and uncalled for. i think it might be so people can feel like they are listining to some new kind of music. and i have to stick to my guns on the whole corn thing. thier music should not be in the same classification as a band like avenged. thats like grouping n.w.a with rage against the machine.

All I can say is Nu Metal like Korn should never be called metal.
