Most likely you don't know who the hell scarling. is, yet. That's quite OK. Why, they would be the only band on Curiosa without a manager, booking agent or publicist, yet somehow they are on one of the biggest tours this summer.

Want to know more?
Scarling. is a band that was formed roughly two years ago by guitar noise theorist Christian Hejnal and surname singer Jessicka who bonded over an unbridled hatred of the legion of clinging parasites and soulless zombies choking the life out of music. The duo found like-minded souls in Garey Snider, Ricky Lime and Kyle Lime and set out to redress the balance as Scarling. Taking up their crusade, Sympathy For The Record Industry brings you SWEET HEART DEALER (produced by Chris Vrenna) that should be considered the first shot fired in the quintet's War On Mediocrity. The disc contains seven Scarling. originals addressing loss and the uneasy relationship between chemicals and personality.

One more thing: The reason there is a period after the band's name is because after all the music you've heard, Scarling. remains the last word that resonates. Grab your coat, because it's time for you to fall in love with music again.

For more information on Scarling. check out their official website at Scarling.com, or check them out on MySpace where you can listen to their music and add them as your friend. More information on Curiosa can be found at TheCure.com.

This is more than news, actually. Its sort of a test for a possible new feature of the news. Which is why i got mad, that and it always gets me angry when people tell the editors what they think is news and what isn't.

anyways, enough.
scarling. .... go listen
love

Jack off Jill were good. Scarling are okay. It just pisses me off how everyone bones over them.

I like scarling. better than joj, but why compare the two?

They're both awesome bands, and i do infact have a massive boner for Scarling.

Actually, this is the music board. This is music news. And hey, since I've got tickets to the Curiosa show at the Home Depot Center, it's even music news that interests me, for once. Just imagine the story being read in the voice of Kurt Loder, and you'll be fine. wink

Hey! Awesome! I like Scarling MUCH betther than Jack Off Jill, they always just kinda bugged me. But yea, it's a cool opportunity for them, but it is too bad they are not coming 'round these parts. Maybe they can book a smaller tour and I can catch 'em then!

P.S. Nat you rule, don't ever leave. Even if I am the only one who appreciates your news stories. wink

scarling being added to curiosa is news, true...but what i didnt' like was the fawning approach to the article...i doubt you'd hear Kurt loder say:

"One more thing: The reason there is a period after the band's name is because after all the music you've heard, Scarling. remains the last word that resonates. Grab your coat, because it's time for you to fall in love with music again."

that is just promotion...if there were a story about Coke, or Apple, you wouldn't expect that sort of thing, would you?
