When I was a suicidal adolescent ther were three songs that helped keep me alive.

Ooh Child - Valarie Catrers version
Downed - Cheap Trick
You See Me Crying - Aerosmith

What song or songs have done that for you?

I was a hardcore drug addict. But the wise words of Marky Mark in "Good Vibrations" set me straight and saved my life.

But no, some Sublime and Offspring tunes kept me going in middle school.

Hmm...Can't say that they've saved my life per se, but I can say that some songs have affected me in a huge way...Those songs still today make the hair on my body stand on end...One example...

Certainly listening to certain ongs at crucial times in my life have helped me make or unmake some pretty critical decisions in my life.

There are many but "Dumb" by Nirvana comes to mind. This is why I can respect the fact that everyone doesn't like them, but when someone says they were overated I have to walk away to avoid an argument.

People don't realize how much much music can affect someone.

i'd be conservative and say the chances of that are a bit better than average. and i also would now like to air my penchant for understatement. love love love love love love love

also, so has not to COMPLETELY hi jack this thread, i just remembered Alice in Chains "Brother" may have saved my head from aquiring another hole at one point. just started thinking of my little bro and how he used to follow me around and how i used to have to translate for him when we were kids.

Neubauten-"Armenia"
Death in June-"Fall apart"

i was a miserable teen. i'd put one of those songs on and cry myself to sleep. back then it was better to sleep than to be alive.
