does anyone know if the version of kazaa you pay for could still bring you the legal and financial problems that the free versionsupposedly can?

i dont know much about napster, but I would suppose since they've went the way of legitimization, then yes... I don't know what kind of deal that they have with whomever, but they've taken great pains to be 'legal'...

if you are concerned about filesharing, and you only have a small number of shares, you shouldn't worry too much, they only look at very high shares etc, and who knows when, you might get better advice in the filesharing group though.

torrents by nature, do not serve anything, thats not how it works. it all depends on where you get the .torrent, besides you should NEVER pay for a torrent client, if all else fails just use the experimental client.

Kazza is sooo two years ago -- support open source software and use Limewire as your peer to peer sharing program.

Free as in free food, or free as in freedom?

Kazaa is evil...They make you pay for Kazaa lite to avoid the viruses...I can't delete it right now because it reads: Installshield (r) setup launcher has encountered a problem. frown What can you do?

imesh eats the dog poo.

i still use the last viable binary of KazzaLite.... bit torrent, soulseek, DC++, um WinMX, and emule is kind of pointless unless you like to wait 3 hours just to connect to enough peers... <---

DC++ is responsible for nearly my entire CD / vinyl collection. Which is big, to say the least. Insound.com should be very thankful for P2P programs like DC++...I hope everyone here buys the albums they really like?

Eh, it's pretty much the same thing as Kazaa, it (and this is rediculous to say), just uses the Kazaa network... (since, really there is not an 'official' kazaa network anymore... wink! )...

I used to use it but it was horrible, I'm sure it got better once they used a network that actually had users.

Why use file sharing programs at all. Most ISP's give you access to binaries newsgroups, and damn if you can't find just about anything you want in there.
