psst all art is 'emo'/emotional... thats a wierd name for a genre.
and i love metal, im the pseudo-typical emo personality, ironically every song ive ever heard by 'emo' groups... i loathed... didnt even hear the words really the music was harsh on me and the lyrics shouted rather than sang... and poorly at that frown

hmm. i'm not sure i totally understand the whole "emo kids are complete and utter losers because they belong to a genre with a name, but being metal is different. and cooler." it's quite trendy to wear vintage and more often fauxvintage "metal" shirts and has been for quite some time. and actually for "emo kids" to do. and yes. being metal is "the next new trend" or whatever. and if anyone is going to say. "oh but i liked metal way before it was cool. and its not about the scene" there's just as many people willing to say that they listened to "emo" back in the day as well. so what the fuck. are there not annoying people that like something just because its trendy for just about everything that ever has, is, or will be "cool"?

you're not punk and i'm telling everyone.

Alas its no pretending... and I *fucking hate it*

...Time to rerail the derailed...

Okay, I think most of us have come to a consensus...It's not the true fans of emo music that we dislike. It is the hipsters, the trendy 'emo' kids that overexagerate the stereotype of the 'emo' kid. The same people that several years ago tried to make their own boy/girl bands, and just years before that wore JNCOs and slipknot shirts and tried to skateboard. There's no need to hate a true 'emo' fan...But FUCK hipsters...FUCK them and their impressionable nature...

Her original quote, and what I said after are part of a Jawbreaker song. Maybe you should learn some emo before you talk in a thread about it

Chris started this thread because I made fun of someone who doesn't know what real emo is, and can't take a joke after they make one?
Dude, I'm sorry I don't sit at this site every minute of my life to respond to every comment that is made in every thread. But I saw her ending to a post, which I thought was very comical because Jawbreaker are a great band, and that's a great song. I'm sorry that you don't know it, and thought you had to make a comment about how long after I made my "comeback" (which wan't one, it was just more lyrics to the one she already put out).

Seriously, if you can't take a joke over the internet, maybe there should be threads started about you. I'm sorry I offended such a hardcore guy...... whatever

Who said I was offended...? I'm not one to be offended by something someone posts on the internet. It's not like the words are going to jump out and poke me. Have your fun, I'm having mine too. I sincerely apologize if you got offended or even thought I was making a jab at your lyrics...It was a bit of comedy for myself to post what I did. I'll make you a noose, you can hang me if you want...After all I am such a hardcore guy..... whatever

Now, I think this thread has run it's course, and I honestly don't feel like arguing semantics with you. What I said was meant as a joke just what you said was. That's where it should it. I'm sorry if either of us was confused...by internet cock fighting isn't in the best interest of either of us, or the space it would waste on these boards. So I'll leave it at that... kiss
