Its no secret -- most bands survive financially on touring. Only the elite of the elite are making money off of record sales.

...Pantera's gotten their CDs on more than 1 CD rack at a major store...and they're based on word of mouth...as have many other bands...Your point?




my point is.. NO.

you dont get into a major retailer by word of mouth. it takes marketing people to help you do that.

i'm not making a judgement, i'm just saying its more than "word of mouth."

all bands rely on word of mouth at one point.

I am quite liking their new album. It debuted at number 37 here on the ARIA charts. Impressive if I do say so much self. KsE have more of a hardcore than metal image here so yeah...
