i've seen bits and pieces. i did'nt have enough money to buy it when they played here. but i'm hoping to pick up a copy soon. i think it's such a cool idea that they put out a book.
god i love those guys.

i just saw buzzo with Fantomas-they were good, but he seemed restrained-dale is a certified madman-i'll never forget getting to hang out with them and the warlock pinchers at Denny's after a show-he was Steven Wright deadpan when he said he just couldn't wait to come back to Denny's on his birthday so he could have a free meal...almost sounded like a threat!!!

that sounds awesome.
ya i could'nt afford to see fantomas when they were here, but i did see them on thier first tour. i dropped acid about half an hour before the show. needless to say i was floored by fantomas. i was a real big slayer fan when i was younger so it was cool seeing dave lombardo as well.

acid+fantomas=?????? wish i had done that, but after that show i felt like i had...i'm still a slayer fan and was surprised to hear dave was back in the fold-at the fantomas show he took a violin bow to some odd percussion device and it snapped instantly-he was none to pleased.....

The best concert I ever attended was Nirvana, The Breeders, and The Melvins, all in their prime. Holy shit what a bill, probably never to be topped.

The Melvins used to come into the record store i work(ed) at whenever they were in town. once Kevin came in and, seeing the collection of Homies we had on display, asked if anyone had the wheelchair Homie (he collects wheelchair toys). i did, so i gave it to him. a few minutes later he and Buzzo came back with one of Dale's used drum heads. they had all signed it, and Kevinhad written, "Thanx for the smack!! We are soooo fucking high!" on it. they are some of the nicest "big rock band" people i've ever met...

plus, best Wipers cover EVER!!!

i (heart) Melvins!

Well, where to begin
1st this thread does indeed rawk with the ever lovin bejesus because it involves the Melvins
2nd someone mentioned the Warlock Pinchers...who along with the Fluid were the only really good bands in Denver when I was growing up.....oh, and drive like jehu
3rd King Buzzo really is one hell of a guy-I met him in Denver..and in Portland many a time -nice to see that other people share the same story about him.....and by the way...where is Lorax?????? I heard she is on a few tracks on the upcoming melvins/Jello Biafra album due out in summer...

really? i haven't heard that but it would be pretty cool. there where so many rumours going around about her it's hard to say what if any are true. she was thought to be dead for awhile. spin or some mag like that actually ran an obituary for her. but from what i've heard she is alive and well and still living in s.f. not sure if she is still doing anything musically now though.

however, i saw them a few years ago with Neurosis in san francisco, and i have to say it was the worst live performance i have ever witnessed in my life. hopefully i just caught them on a bad day...

Needless to say, the Melvins are still making good music, while most of the others are not.

I stand by what I said. Please stand FAR AWAY from me, and stop trolling my coments and go play tetris.
