So, my roomate downloaded the mp3's of the Pixies first show in over a decade which took place last night (I don't know where). For all those who said they wouldn't be as good this time around: YOU ARE WRONG! Fucking awesome!

Too bad the shows sell out in 15 minutes. Which shocks me since I don't know one fucking person who knows who the pixies are.

Love the Pixies on album but never thought they were that great of a live band though. However I only saw them twice so perhaps I caught bad shows. frown

I knew they'd be great-I saw Kim Deal with the Breeders and Frank Black with the Catholics last year and they were both amazing. Frank even played a lot of songs from Surfer Rosa and Doolittle, so I have had faith in them the whole time. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten my No. 13 tattoo.biggrin

I have a ticket to go and see them in London. I feel quite bad, cos I'm really not bothered about going. Still, should be a laugh.

Are you serious? I don't know a single person who doesn't listen to The Pixies. Well, except apologies, but he still knows who they are.

Edited because I'm cool like that.

Anyone who has a copy of the show, pass that cd over to me. Will trade or buy a copy for almost anything. They are only making 1000 copies of each show, the first 3 are sold out on pre-orders. the site is disclive.com

Well I don't have a lot of friends. Plus, I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Not Hotlanta or the UK. There's a church on every block (literally) and people like their Creed loud and proud.

I could easily see them being just as mediocre as they ever were. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. My question is, is Frank Black just as fat as he used to be?

I'm glad to see "Into the White" on the list. That's one of their best songs ever, not just one of their best B-sides. They really should have put it on "Bossanova".
