This is a topic that is close to my heart. Forgive me if it has been done before, I am still a relative newby. Anyhow, my song is "I'm The One" by The Descendents.
You wouldn't expect them to have a song like this but they do and it is awesome.

Nerdy isn't so much an unrequited love song, as much as it is a pronouncing your love song.
I'd go with Not Within Arms Length, or Grain Of Salt:

I have no idea, I've heard so many. but most of my songs are about unrequited love, in fact I started a label called Unrequited Records.

"There's this girl" by Sweet Baby is like an anthem for urequited love.

It's overdone, it's played on radio ad infinitum over 30 years later, and there's an emotionless, shitty Unplugged version of the song that won 29 Grammys.
