It takes something special in a Rap to make me like it. I am all for musical appreciation, and I am always down for a decent beat of a song, but sometimes, my ears feel like bleeding whenever I listen to some of the shit on the Radio.

Mos Def and the RZA are some of the more main-stream rappers I can definatly tolerate, but, honeslty, I have not been that exposed to much Rap, so I admit I cannot make an informed opinion.

But I will say this

Country + Rap = Crap

My feelings on the Rule Against Perpetuities?

It's pretty much a ridiculous pain in the ass and I wish it would fuck right off and die.

Those are my feelings on RAP.

ANYTHING ON THE RADIO IS BULLSHIT! not just country and rap. have you not heard of Johnny Cash, Woody Guthery, Kris Kristopherson, Hank Williams. FUCK. they are more rock and roll then any faggot AFI song.

Eh...
That pretty much sums it up.
There's some okay underground hip hop going on.

But being an indie kid - rap and the rap culture pretty much exemplifies everything I hate about the music industry. They're only in it for the money, they admit it. They want to make as much money as possible in a short time. Then they spend it all. You've seen the rap videos. They have girls, cars, bling, and cereal in them. All of them. Seriously. You might say...'Cereal?' It's in a suprising amount of rap videos. I guess it's 'ghetto'.

I think he was referring to country-rap, like Big & Rich or Nelly & Tim McGraw.

I don't really like rap/Hip Hop at all, but I can apreciate the talent it takes. I think it was proven in the 90's that it isn't as easy as it seems. Remember all the people that came out on TV reading words to a beat and thinking it was rap. (politicians and businessmen and such)

The only band I like that is remotely rap-like would be 13 & God. Other than that I can't get into it.

Not. Fucking. Cool.

That shit went out the door years ago.

Guthrie?

And while we're at it, I hear Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristoferson and Hank Williams on the radio all the time. By your logic, this makes them bullshit as well. So, now what?

Correction: it's delicious! Who doesn't love cereal?

I'm an indie kid and I'm gettin' down with the NWA as we speak. I don't understand the big issue here. Why should anyone have a problem with any music that's halfway intelligent? I hate idiot rap, but then I also hate idiot rock.

Someone recommended 13 & God a while back and I never really did any research into the other bands they came from. Now that you mention it, I might.
