Songs for Your Funeral?

Started a new topic since the last one I could find hadn't been posted in since 2006.

I liked this song. Cant say I know many Bruce Springsteen songs aside from the biggies. Part of me wants to say something cool like Danzig - How The Gods Kill but I think it would be something less awesome. I can't say I really gave this much thought though. Thank you for something to ponder.


I don't post stuff like this usually so i don't know if the code stuff or links work right.

I guess it's been on my mind because I've been to too many funerals this year, and had some health issues myself that forced me to contemplate my own.

I was at a funeral once where they played this song. Apparently my great-uncle Bob was a huge Neil Diamond fan and loved it. Anyway, it gave us a good chuckle.



My point is it's such a personal moment that it's hard to criticize anyone's choices. After all, it's your funeral pal.

I'm just gonna have three straight hours of recordings of farts, because I want to imagine everyone trying to be serious and sad during THAT.

"STOP TALKING ABOUT JESUS, AND TALK ABOUT MY FUCKING DAD!" Is what I wanted to shout out at my fathers funeral. Honestly, I regret not doing it.

Anyway, at my funeral, I seriously want this song played. It's not my favorite song (no one wants to hear Crass or SUNN O))) at a funeral, right? Maybe SUNN, that would be annoying as hell, and for a very long time too), it's not pointed at anybody, it's just... right. Right for me. And it's short, so people can get on with talking about Jesus even though I'm not a Christian. I live in Missouri, Jesus is kind of a popular guy here .

I've thought of many songs for this over the years but this fits best and can't see it changing
