self-rightous over-rated these are words I would use to describe dave grohl and his character these days. puke

that's weird, because i've met him a number of times and he didn't come off as "self riteous' at all. Everyone that spent time around him, anyone i've ever know that knows him all say he is the sweetest.

well I could be wrong, Im just basing it around TV appearances. Maybe hes playing a character on TV. I have after all never met him. However I am still not a fan. (Again based on TV) I can't see how anyone would find him funny, there was an award show I saw with him doing this thing with Triumph the insult comic dog and he seemed really really bitter toward every musician but himself... at least the ones who were mentioned (I believe evanescence, chingy, timberlake, spears), sure artists leave themselves open for ridicule or roasting, but Grohl had the attitude of well Im a god and you're not. Which is not really funny. I've seen him at interviews where he just looked annoyed at everything and everyone around him. Thats just the way I see it. but who the hell am I right.

I've got no problem with him.

I remember awhile back he made fun of that one Creed song...I think that was him...So he gets a thumbs up for that one.

Dude... anything with Triumph in it is a joke... come on

I love when you close out of the ECD on "There's Nothing left to lose" and there Dave is all Surly and drunk telling the band...

"Don't tell me how to make a fucking record.... I was in NIRVANA... we changed the face of rock n' roll!!!!!!"

So funny... yet so true at the same time. I love that man.

(The man from Holland who loves his ice in "The Year Punk Broke schtick makes me laugh too... I don't know why... lol."

And QOTSA.

And Killing Joke.

And of course, Nirvana goes without saying.

Killing Joke? did i miss something? he was in Scream...then Nirvana...foos...

other than nirvana, the best band he was ever in was the Lucky Charms.... if you saw the foos' first tour, with Watt, you certainly agree.

he's there

Just resurrecting this thread to pay some homage to Dave.

The guy is just flat-out a fucking rock star.

I'm not even a rabid psycho-fan who can tell you everything about him.

I will say that the Foo Fighters, in my opinion, are the best band out there right now...and they're definitely one of the best band ever.

What I find amusing is that even though I like the Foo Fighters very much, I'm not a rabid psycho-fan....and I can honestly say that my two most favorite songs of all-time are Everlong & Hero. Not merely my most favorite Foo Fighters songs......I mean favorite out of anything.

Ok....I'll stop being a geeky fan now.

Rock on, Dave.
