Amy Winehouse was found dead at home today, at the age of 27

She was too young to die. What a tragedy.

She was wicked talented it's a shame that she's gone.

Hopefully she will be remembered for her music, but her legacy will always be tarnished by her struggle with addiction. Like so many before, her star burned brightly but far too quickly. That is to say the tragedy is that too many people have their potential sapped and lives destroyed through dependency on on harmful substances to cope with the hardships of life. So many others have had led their lives to ruin in a similar fashion and their stories and lives are just as important as the celebrities who've fallen from grace.

What a waste.

Also, yet another rock star dead at 27? Freaky.

You know what they say--live fast, die young, and leave a... well, leave a corpse, at any rate.

indeed. she was quite an individual too. its too bad that so many artists that have the power to touch people with their art are often so self destructive.
