Anyone that listens to anything other than rap ever just have a craving for rap some days? I do. I don't know why. I bought two rap CDs the other day, and I never buy CDs. Hopefully this isn't permanent.

i'm stuck on the same boat my friend. i typically don't listen to rap, but a few months ago i was introduced to "concious hip-hop" and "indie rap". i appreciate it, but i need my regular diet of elvis.

Rap is a totally relevant form of music. Generally I prefer the stuff that isn't all "bling, bling, bitches and hoes" but even some of that stuff is okay.

I love hip-hop... but sometimes I'm ashamed to say that to people because of the type of rap they usually associate with the term... the stuff I listen to you would never hear on the radio...

I guess it just ain't GANGSTA enough.

the thing about rap is that it now has a big variety of flavas- gangsta, east/west c, radio shit, old school etc . im sort of stuck on techno and electrical shit...but prefuse73 satisfies all my needs...yep, i do buy it even though i know i use kazaa.

I have found myself listening to DJ Krush, Jedi Mind Tricks, and Mars Ill alot. Just to add some change in the mix of crazy white kids making fax machine sounds with their guitars.

Hey... I happen to like hearing Fax Machine noises made by crazy white kids with their guitars... especially when said transmissions are labelled as "Radiohead" or "Sonic Youth"

:wishes he could find link to "Spin" article where a bunch of demos were sent to label execs as a joke:

The Black Eye Peas are a great hip-hop group. I love hip hop and metal not to mention most other forms of music. (limited country) I definately get into moods though. sometimes it last a while if there is a bunch of good new albums out. 50cents new album was great, I listened to it all summer.

No... no you really don't

Not to be a hater or anything
(ludacris has one of the best deliveries and cadences out there... but his subject matter just doesn't appeal to me. I like "bitches and money" just as much as the next man... but I don't have either... so I don't like it being rubbed in my face wink )

Hip Hop can be one of 2 things, good background music for life or interesting lyrical work. Good production on a beat will redeam most lyrics, in my eyes. case & point- Lil Jon's "Damn". That beat is so good i dont care who does the lyrics.
