Saw them support Queens of the stone age a while back.
They were fantastic.
Any idea when the new stuff is out?

they've been idle for a while. they traveled somewhere, came back, left a message on their site saying "new stuff is in the works".. and nothing. this was at least a year ago.

they're a good band, nonetheless.

Lovesong, and How soon is now.

I have no idea how I ended up with their disc, but I love it.

That's right, now I remember them, didn't care for either of their versions of those songs, but I do think I'll go put some Smiths on now.

Yeah they're pretty cool. I saw them open for A Perfect Circle. They're a lot better live than on CD, probably because they rely less on loops and electronics and have more guitars and shit.

They also covered "She Said She Said" (The Beatles). It's on the "Vulcan" single...

i love src and i saw them in concert a few years ago with apc and they were great. the only problem is that the lead singer knows they're great and she's really stuck up. i was back stage and was about to tell her how much i enjoyed the show but she gave me the dirtiest look i have ever seen so i gave up on that right away.

That's a bummer. I hate when performers have to bring you crashing back to reality like that. I really liked Sonic Jihad. Good stuff. I had a chance to hear some new stuff a while back and it was nothing like the 1st album. I was kinda disappointed. It also seemed like the band's attitude was "we're doing stuff totally different than our first album and if you don't like it, fuck you." whatever

Musicians can be dispicable. Just look at Frank Sinatra.
A band that reminds me of SRC is Ruby. And they also went the way of "our new stuff is nothing like our old stuff." Can't they just accept that they are not Radiohead and that some bands do one thing and they do it well? I suppose not.
