I manage an unsigned band by the name of Alien Stash Tin. They play mainly original music and influences include Hawkwind, Pink Floyd and Dr Feelgood. Been around 8 years and shared stages with the likes of Spit Like This, Dumpy's Rusty Nuts, Rita Lynch, Bad Manners and Alan Clayson & The Argonauts. Even had a track played by the late great John Peel.
Check us out, we are The Dweezils, and we are from Thunder Bay, Ontario. We are an instrumental band that plays all different styles of music.TheDweezils
....you can download our entire first cd for free from the link above as well.
Basically it's influenced heavily by White Zombie, Helmet, and general weirdness.
Our first album is admittedly very freshman and rushed. We were excited just to get some material put down. Still it's worth a listen at least.
Our second album is extremely experimental. It's basically one long song dealing with different states of dreaming. Each song represents a state of dreaming and flows into the next song much like a dream would. The last track is a recurring dream which incorporates elements of the first five dreams. There's so much that we used on this album it's not even funny. I'm talking Phillip Glass, railroad conductors, squeaky bed sounds from an album that was used to record the sounds of sex, Bernstein, The Martian Chronicles, etc. There's too many to list. It's not an album you can turn full blast and cruise to but it's a bit of an accomplishment for us and we're extremely proud of the turnout.
The new album we are currently working on is based on old movie monsters. Every song represents a different monster. We hope to finish that up in the next few months.
Let us know what you think even if you hate it or want to trash us. We accept all criticisms good or bad.
If you're in the Memphis area come to a show. They're usually free.
Used to be in a funk-rock band called "Hard Karma"...made a CD and broke up in 2004. In the last 6 years, three of us kept jamming as a cover band that changed its name for every gig. We are now called "Karmakaze". Our influences come from classic rock, jam bands, metal, and singer-songwriter stuff. We now like to focus on our original tunes:
...but we still play covers too...the deep tracks...
We're too old to dream about being rock stars anymore, but we love playing live and we're looking forward to doing some recording this year.
We,ve been playing in this band for about a year, and we recorded the album ourselves in our basement. Musically it's somewhat poppy rock & roll with horns & organ. I'm not really good at describing us though. That's why it's up there for listening.
I'm the bassist for Aura Lynn.... We are the hype of el paso, Texas right now... We are hardcore / metal core... We have a couple videos on YouTube and are going to the studio march 20th... So support your hardcore scene...
Until our drummer left. and then we found out he had skipped a few payments for our practice room. got us kicked out and in abotu 170 debt. Never trust a durummer with a rent direct debit! hehe
So im currently looking for a new one. based in nottinhingham UK
