I'm lost
April 2003

Okay here it is...John Smith sent news that Jason at Product Shop NYC is reporting as follows:
"It looks like Lollapalooza 2004 is a definite go and a headliner has been confirmed. Trent Reznor, who bowed out of Coachella to finish his new Nine Inch Nails album, is confident the new record will be done and possibly out by July. With that said, he has agreed to the headlining spot on this years Lollapalooza Tour. The Pixies are still be courted as a double headliner for the traveling festival."

This would so kick ass if it were true. I am not giving my hopes up yet though. But at least it is something for me to get excitied about. smile

This sentence makes me question the validity of this rumor. The Pixies would not be in the same league as NIN as a concert draw and would certainly not be able to headline something like Loolapalooza.

It's a good rumour though niobe, unlike one that says Trent has quit making music and decided to become a Mormon.

i sooooo don't understand that.. but maybe i just only hang out with indie kids who worship the pixies.
and i can't imagine any bands being upset that pixies would headline.

The Pixies European tour dates sold out in minutes.

Nine Inch Nails have a cult following of annoying half-assed goth kids.

My money would be on The Pixies for selling out the shows, not NIN.

If The Pixies play I will go. I've seen NIN several times, and it's always a good show, however if I never saw Trent live again I could manage to live out my days satisfied. Unless I cream myself over his new album, in which case all bets are off.

Ticket prices will probably be like $60 a pop. Those ticketmaster shit fuckers!

you are so wicker park smile

it's not bands being upset that would be the problem.. lets face it.. The Pixies would not be a big eough draw for a festival as large (and worthless) as Lollapalooza. But.. if they do play.. I might consider going. Would I have to sit through sets of Sum41 and 50 cent? That is a huge problem with me.

I haven't been to one sense the first 3... I'd hate to think it will get any better. Warp tour has never seen my face and never will

The early shows I saw of his were absolutely horrid. I saw him open for Peter Murphy and he was kicked off the tour that night it was so bad.

And when I saw the PLHM tour Meat Beat Manifesto blew him off the stage.

But this was like 1989 so I guess a lot has changed since then.

I saw him twice in 1994. Fucking great. He's definitely gotten better live since Pretty Hate Machine, but it's the only album of his I wanna hear.

I hate to disagree with you Souljacker (since you're my main man and all), but you couldn't be more wrong! Coachella is liely to sell out for the first time since it's inception thsi year; and why? Because of the Pixies reunion!

The Pixies are loved the world over, man.
