I used to think Jawbreaker's 'Dear You' was unbeatable. I really couldn't believe it when Jawbreaker fans around here started disliking the band because the new record was considered such a departure; soon enough it was like being completely alone in liking them. So it went that they were semi-known to hated, and then years down the line when the record was almost impossible to find, it suddenly became their masterpiece. That was really strange. And they'd probably sell out every show three times over if they got back together. I'd really like to see that crap happen.

I'm a terrible judge of what is popular anymore. I go to concerts with kickass bands and the place is maybe half full. But I stroll into other shows with bands I've not heard much from and the place is packed to the gills. So I just don't know what the kids are listening to anymore. whatever

Nothingface(post Pacifer & Audio Guide To Everyday Atrocity)
Crown Vict

first 2 bands are still 'mine', but by this time next year they should be uber big. [minus] changed their name to [minus.driver] so if you see anything about them, check them out, they are utterly amazing.

Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction
Sigue Sigue Sputnic
(We've got a) Fuzzbox

are still bands I enjoy, but dont find many others that do or remember them.

There are many other bands that I used to see in the smaller clubs, but then their popularity expanded.
I still hold fond memories of them, but dont try to keep them as "mine".
I was lucky to go to 200 person clubs where these bands would play.
It was also easier on the pocketbook to pay $5-$10 dollars to see bands like 311, Janes Addiction, Nirvana, The Offspring, etc..
