Much to my surprise, there is quite a bit that I agree with on both list. On the other hand, if it were my list; I might throw in some Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Butch Walker, The Birthday Massacre, and Tom Waits (The last 2 are a couple of favs) That is, not before removing a few less appealing choices. I was, however happy not to notice any Nickelback, Seether, Breaking Benjamin (You get the Idea). While some on the list, are exactly what you would bet money to see from Rolling Stone. Even so, I didn't think they were all horrible choices. I give both 3 stars.
I was actually surprised to see a lot of great albums, like those by Yo La Tengo and Interpol, on that list. So this isn't the worst list I've seen. But I think I'd much prefer to listen to albums like Panda Bear's "Person Pitch," Broadcast's "Tender Buttons," and Autolux's "Future Perfect" over anything on this list. Whatever. All Best-Of lists are subjective.
