I've been enjoying the hell out of all these best-of-the-decade lists.

Knowing Rolling Stone, I'm surprised they all aren't albums released in the 00s by bands who haven't done anything good since 1979.

it's funny because it's true! also, because there's a lot of bob dylan. he hasn't made any other best of the 2000's lists I've seen.

I am seriously getting tired of seeing Radiohead all over all these "greatest" lists, especially since I'm not a fan.

Ya, not really sure if i'm a fan of the rolling stone list. I even some of the bands that i listen too and like that are on this list I feel were ranked a little high.

MGMT number 19? really?

If there's one thing you can count on...it's Rolling Stone making a shitty list. Honestly...I think they do it on purpose to create buzz.

I don't mind this but

Kid A is nowhere near the best of any decade or a best list, period. I mean "Best of the cds I sold to a used bin later that year", certainly. It was not a good album and if they propped The Strokes at #2, they obviously know better. Radiohead end of story tops the list of most overrated, past their prime, ceased being memorable YEARS ago perpetual hype shit of the last 4 decades. I love them, always have, respectfully admire them for the In Rainbows promotion/comeback but no. They don't have the impact anymore, haven't had it and certainly didn't have it with Kid A.

Is This It is a far better album anyway. I personally never hurt my head from nodding off and hitting the bed post while listening to that one.

I'm glad to see a Strokes album that high. Although I don't get leaving "Room On Fire" out of the top 100.

As far as the songs go, i agree with about half of the list. Some of them, I didn't like. But they all hung on way longer than most singles can manage. And there is some good shit on there. The order...really doesn't make sense.
The albums list is bullshit.

Eh, I think it's a terrible list but I don't really listen to pop music. Each to their own, I guess.
Although I do like Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. smile

this is pretty much what I was going to say.

There were 8 albums on the album list I agreed with. EIGHT. Although being a fan of QOTSA I was very happy to see they picked their best for the list.

That list is at least somewhat accurate, assuming they went with how popular the songs are rather than how friendly they are to your eardrums... Ick.
