In my opinion, this title would have to go to NoFX. I understand that they're trying to be a satirical band, but there's a certain level of sophistication required for satire. They just don't have it. If you want to listen to some satirical punk, the Vandals tend to be better, although they do get to be a little goofy sometimes too. But when they don't get bogged down in bathroom humor and crap like that, they can actually be quite clever.

Now lets hear some other opinions for most overrated band.

Interesting. I don't necessarily agree, but I don't know enough about them to defend them.

Any particular reason why?

What I find odd is that, while there are quite a few bands listed here so far that I disagree with you guys on, I could still argue the point of those that I disagree with (assuming they're bands I know something about).

Weird.

i think everybody could, really. it's something about loving music--you know both the good parts and the bad parts about bands/singers, but you love them anyway.

True. It's like, there are some bands I can see their flaws, but I see good in them that I think overrules the bad.

Take Minor Threat, for example, which someone posted. I can see that, if you think about it, they aren't anything special, just another hardcore band. But they created a culture that, while I'm not a part of it, I respect greatly. And since Fugazi spawned from them, there has to be some good in them.

I like being a music lover. It makes for great conversation.

Clever, but my purpose in responding to you was to try to engage you in some sort of debate. Why do you think they have no talent?

I'll give Fugazi this. . . they start songs well, but more often than not they find a way to make it suck by the last minute or so. Mostly Red Medicine and later, but not exclusively.

Do you mean musically or lyrically?
