I have a piece of shit peavey raptor. I bought it for $80 used. It sucks but I love it soooo much. The action is super low and it basically sounds like a really heavy strat. It actually is just like a strat but for metal. Next to that i like my sg but i take way better care of that and only really use it for recording.

SG's are great guitars - I would take care of it too smile But it is funny - met alot of people that love guitars that were 80 bucks - it isnt the price but the feeling!

What sort of music are you into?

Campbell American is a small company in New England that makes top of the line guitars by hand. I can't afford them, but they sure are nice.

There are a lot of those companies out there - one of my favorites is Gahllager - handmade acoustics - they are very bad ass!

I just play some weird experimental stuff. A lot of weird rhythms and interludes with a fast punk feel. I like my cheap peavey because it plays really well and it has a half decent tone. Probably going to upgrade the pickups soon though. Just put a new bridge and trem system on it. But it goes out of tune every five minutes. Meh

lol yeah that can happen - If you use the trem alot you may try adding an extra trem spring in the back and going up a guage in strings - that might help smile or get a floyd trem smile

I have a '68 SG Specia (plan to recondition it soon), used to have one from the early 60s, wish I still did! The SG is my favorite guitar of all time (of the guitarss I've played). I also have a Fender acoustic with built-in pickup (the only Fender I ever liked). I never cared for the Strat very much, or for the Les Paul...can't explain why...just didn't feel right, maybe? Used to have an old Moserite...wish I still had that, too! It was like a Strat made for the gods, and felt great!

My favorite bass is a P-Bass Deluxe with a combination of the standard p-bass pick-up and a jazz bass pick-up.

I don't remember if it was a Telecaster or a Stratocaster, but I do remember that it had a heart of chrome and a voice like a horny angel.
