Coheed & Cambria are not for everybody. I see where they stand in the "scene" because of who they play with and the label that they're on, but I like them because they sound like a cross between Rush and Shudder to Think. Can you think of any two bands you would be less inclined to combine? And yet it works. Now the lyrics are incredibly marginal, but for the risk factor of what they're trying to do alone I will continue to support...

its nice to see what people think about this band. and a lot people still dont understand the meaning of the band.
im trying to start an sg group for them. if you have any questions about them, come to me and ask.

p.s. STTB and their unreleased songs are MUCH better than IKSSE3.

i fucking LOVE coheed and cambria. they were what got me into emo/indie music.

don't yell at me for genres. they were what got me into those genres. because... i used to listen solely to japanese music.

Man, I heard so much praise for coheed and cambria that I went out and bought the CD without having actually listened to it, first... but I just can't seem to get into it. A lot of my friends are obsessed with this band, however... kinda makes me wonder what I'm missing. I've been forcing myself to listen to it with the hopes that it might grow on me, but I don't know.

Usually I'll just grab Thrice's "Artist in the Ambulance," if I'm in the mood to listen to that style of music.

the first time i heard a favor house atlantic on the radio i thought it was the singer from another one of my favorite bands. who is a girl. everyone should try to find something by idle hands and marvel at how similar the vocals are. particularly in afha. that is also the only song i know the name of. i have a burned copy. that doesn't even have all the tracks on it cause they wouldn't all fit. i love it. and i listen to it all the freakin time. and annoy people cause i sing along and it's really not a good range for me.

also if you can't find any idle hands you should im me and i'll send it to you. because seriously. it's kinda freaky how similar the vocals are. i demonstrate this to EVERYONE I KNOW.

yeah.

Idle Hands are great -- are they still around? I've heard some of their songs through the years yet I've never been able to get a hold of an entire cd. Bummer.

Either way its good to know someone else out there knows of them!

Maybe it was an off night when I saw them, but I thought they were pretty boring live. No energy or stage presence at all.

buy from these guys. they're really awesome. great prices, and they ship stuff quick. it's a great album. definitely worth 10 bucks. there's another band that sounds really similar to idle hands called everafter. i don't think they exist anymore either.

but back to the subject of coheed, my friends toured with them a whole lot over the past couple of years, and said that they're super great guys and put on a kickass show night after night. whatever that's worth to you guys.

gay isn't derogatory. is it? i mean queer used to be before it was 'empowered', but i never though gay was derogatory. all the gay/ homosexual men i know refer to themselves as gay...

technaly calling something 'gay' is saying its happy as that was the orinal meening of the word, as in 'gay oldtime' in the flintstones song

ah that whould be th london astoria, there is a club there a gew times a wek called G-A-Y for funnly enough gay peaplo and everyband that play there use that banner cos its funny, well funny to them if you've seen bands do it it is less so

I am completely and totally in LOVE with C&C. I am a writer and I really enjoy the concept of telling a story through song. I really dig Claudio's voice, it is definitely different but good.

My favorite band of all time. Been to 4 shows, some of the most intense and lovely lyrics I have ever had the pleasure to know (and have inked on my skin), and just such creative genius. They are my ultimate inspiration band. And I <3 Claudio. tongue
