Been rediscovering the joys of Goatsnake lately, as well as digging on Shrinebuilder.

Also big into Nadja, Scissorfight, Electric Wizard, or anything in which Stephen O'Malley plays very loud and unpleasantly.

That being said, I'm still convinced that the harshest, heaviest and most head fucking doom-ish thing I've ever heard is Leng Tch'e by Naked City. Bloody jazzers.

this will obviously be a redundant post since i didn't look at the rest of it, but honestly

will anything in this category ever top Dopesmoker? I hate weed but whenever I listen to it I just want to get wasted

missing the sleep reunion shows is my biggest regret besides not inventing windows or founding the AVN awards

Sleep was the loudest show i've ever attended. It beat out Motorhead, Boris and Om. Shrinebuilder was another one of this years best shows. I mean, it's like the heavy music all stars band or some shit. Word.

hmm, havnt listened to anything metal related since i was 16-17... i remember getting high to Electric Wizards 'Dopethrone' album alot
Someone else mentioned Stephen O'Malley's projects though thats delving more into minimalist drones than stoner/doom. also slightly off genre but the Melvins 'OZMA' is pretty dense, was probably the birth of sludge metal...

Dan and Melody are great people, they are south west of me in Torney Idaho, I catch them time to time in shows around the rockies, they always put little drawing or haikus on my receipts

Just got the new Orange Goblin over the weekend and realized I haven't listened to it yet!
