My sweatiest concert was Lightning Bolt in Portland. I've been to see Lightning Bolt before but never was is so sweaty. In Portland the walls were dripping with sweat... ewe. But it was so awesome! Talk about a stinch, 4 guys in a Honda driving 4 hrs back to the Seattle area. We were all soked to our underwear, I couldn't get to the shower fast enough. And that was the sweatiest concert ever... The End

Bowie on his Sound And Vision tour in 90? i think.. he played all his hits... all of them!
&
Nick Cave last year... not that it was that amazing of a show.. but it was NICK CAVE.

I think it was during the last nights of the 1988 Anarchist Unconvention in toronto, in a tiny Kensigton Market club. The Layabouts played. It was intense, with a lovely, trusting vibe, and we were mostly naked by halfway through the show. It was a long, joyous, generous performance from the band. I remember them seeming a lot more mature and relaxed than I'd expected - none of the posing and hype some local punk/activist bands were so fond of back then.

I remember the entire crowd singing along and managing to stay in tune for "Johannessburg", and i remember my boyfriend was acting kinda jealous 'cause I was paying so much attention to this cute woman I'd just met.
Midsummer, no ventilation, many hot happy bodies smushed together. I musta lost a liter of liquid for every hour there. Easily the sweetest, sweatiest time I've had outside a sauna... Spent the next year or so wishing I'd accompanied my lovely new friend back to the warehouse she was crashing at, rather than running off to mollify my boyfriend of the time (who was totally justified in being miffed at me, 'cause we hadn't really negotiated anything very clear bout how to deal with being attracted to new friends.)

I'm blathering.

The Stray Cats in '82. It was a very hot and humid summer night in Toronto and the air conditioning was not working in The Concert Hall. The place was packed and it was a really great rockin' show, I was up in the front and by the end I was SOAKED from head to toe. It had been so packed in at the front that someone had been able to snag my studded belt(it was from a shop on Kings Road in London and was the nicest that I had ever seen) right off me without my noticing, I didn't fret too much about it as I felt that the show had been worth it. I have been to hundreds(no exaggeration) of shows but this one was tops in sweat.

Probably Mclusky in Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff last year...it's like being in an oven on the top floor of that venue normally, but add a ferocious band, no working fans and a crowd of people who have already been waiting for over an hour and the sweat actually hangs in the air. That really is as gross as it sounds, but it was well worth it.

i saw that tour, it was awesome. but it was also in the well ventilated 40 watt club in athens, so it wasn't that hot.

Cool, what year was that? I've seen the P-Funk All Stars many times since '88 and a couple were among my favorite concerts by anyone.

It wasn't my favorite show, but it was still awsome enough to bring up.

Las Vegas circa 1993

Urge Overkill
Mudhoney
Pearl Jam
Eddy Vedder with an Elvis Impersonator- encore
followed by the "Green River reunion"

Personal favorite would have to be Ministry in Phoenix.
