For starters: The Wycliff songs in french are awesome... also Buy Le Flow it's a compilation with a bunch of great French rappers. I like the Nada Surf songs that are in french and last but not least Phoenix (but they sing in English but are from France.

My roommate is a huge Emily Simon fan. I am a fan of the Air and Django Rheinhardt although I have to admit I saw Sweet and Lowdown before I got into him. I suppose Stereo Lab doesn't count.
