Out of Tom Waits' 75613 albums(or something like that) which would you have to choose as your favorite.

For me it would probably be Small Change. Though I'm sure if you ask me tomorrow it would be something different.

Hardly, it's easily the best of the post-trilogy era. That was during a time where ol' Tomcat still had some focus about his musical identity. Just like Alice and The Black Rider.

BFF

It's probably because Small Change was my first one and I listened the fuck out of it, and with Blood Money it's probably because of my love of Woyzeck.

Excellent question.

Every Tom Waits album is like trying a new course at a restaurant. Its the same but different and new in fundamental ways and even if you don't like it you never know what the chef is going to cook up next time. Drawn out metaphor!

My pick is the more recent, if not as classical or appreciated, Blood Money. My reasons are clear if you know me.
