Happy Holidays boys and girls! This is one of those good news-bad news columns. I’m spending a lot of time on the road doing free seminars and helping out bands in person where I can. The book is doing very well (thank you to all those who purchased it and for those of you who haven’t, the best deal in town is still Amazon). But unfortunately, today, as I put pen to paper I’m saddened to tell you this is my last column.

As has become a tradition with this column, I’ve already lied to you in the first 200 words. I’m not putting pen to paper, I’m sitting here sipping a red bull listening to my China Dub Soundsystem album dictating this to my assistant Katie. This last year has been terrific. I met some great people, both at and through the SG office and through this column. Anyone getting ready ask me for some free advice, you can always catch me on MySpace, through the Tour:Smart website, or send me a message to my SG Page.

As nice as the nekkid girls are, I haven't looked at all the sets since they started being more than one a day but I always read everything on the Newswire. Please, keep the writers! It's bad news week i guess here, two of the greatest columns (obviously this and the Geek Review) are closing down...SG just got a little poorer. Nevertheless thanks for all the wonderful insight you provided all this time

What!?... super lame. I was stoked to see you on the site. I JUST got an account for my birthday, and now... I'm left with just boobs! I'm sure I'll survive (haha), but honestly, SG is losing a strong player in the culture of their fanbase. I wish you the best, Martin. Thanks for all the advice.

I haven't been a fan of Martin Atkins since the days of Murder Inc. and Fook. But the fact that Invisible is one of the longest standing sanctuaries for a dieing musicle genre makes him a very talented business mind in addition to his achievements in creating music. Its sad that SG would let its subscribers miss out on an opportunity like this.

The content on SG has been going down hill for the last few years. With the addition of thousands of random new suicidegirls I have lost most of my interest in looking at the sets becasue I can't keep up with them and nor do I really care to. After the loss of DRE the interviews have been slow coming and not as good. While many of the current news editors are immature and have very little ability in the way of journalistic skills, SG has been cutting good columns like Will Wheaton's. I really can't think of a reason to stick around when my subscription runs out.
