RIP Joe Zawinul

Legendary keyboardist for Cannonball Adderly, Miles Davis as well as the founder of Weather Report, Joe Zawinul died last Tuesday of a rare form of skin cancer.

Zawinul's most famous composition was "In A Silent Way" from the Davis album of the same name.

He also had a band called the Zawinul Syndicate and gave Jaco Pastorious his break. His latest bassist I believe was Linley Marthe, he also played with Richard Bona.
