I'm in Austin, Texas...where there's a goddamn statue of Stevie Ray Vaughn...so I could get kicked out for this.
Stevie Ray was overrated. Period. He was a bad ass guitar player, but he didn't influence shit. He's all Hendrix and standard blues riffs. He does not belong in the top ten, and he certainly shouldn't be in front of Richards and Page. He was damn good, yes. But he gets too much credit...just because he's dead.

Did I mention the statue of Stevie Ray is on a hiking/biking/jogging trail? There's irony for you.
