It's funny how this still happens. I was playing "man who sold the world" (by david bowie) just last night. And my roommate was still living day to day thinking that it was a Nrivana song. bless the children.... but someone's gotta school them proper!

"Jet Airliner" Steve Miller (originally Paul Pena)

"Strawberry Letter 23" Brothers Johnson (Shuggie Otis)

"This Wheel's On Fire" Julie Driscoll (yeah, that Ab Fab song... originally The Band)

"House of the Rising Sun" Animals (traditional, done earlier by Bob Dylan)

"Cocaine" and "After Midnight" Eric Clapton, "Call Me the Breeze" Lynyrd Skynyrd, "Bringin It Back" Kansas.. (all originally JJ Cale)

"Delta Lady" Joe Cocker (Leon Russell)

"Feelin' Alright" Joe Cocker (Traffic)

You could do a whole topic on Joe Cocker songs alone, the guy wrote like 3 songs his entire life.
