The book that the film is based on (Touching From A Distance: Ian Curtis & Joy Division) is one of the best biographies, and best books, that I've ever read. Deborah Curtis did a great job writing it.

And I can't wait for the film to be released stateside. Anton Corbijn was a perfect choice as director, and it looks absolutely magnificent.

And 'Atmosphere' has to be one of the greatest songs ever.

I read on the Wiki entry for JD that Unknown Pleasures, Closer, and Still were being remastered and rereleased in the next month or so. Can anyone confirm that?

That movie looks really good.

And yeah, Closer does not suck in any way.

It looks good. There are so many great movies coming out: Darjeeling Limited, the Jesse James pic, the new Coen Brothers, new Noah Baumbach, and others I'm forgetting, plus England's Dreaming is out now. I'm going to spend a fortune at the movies this fall.

"Touching From A Distance" is an amazing book! I did come away from reading it thinking Ian Curtis a bit of an arsehole though...
