I'm kinda surprised that nobody has commented positive or negative about the new Dashboard Confessional album. It seems to me that many people on this site are part of the target marget for Chris Carrabba's music. I think the new album is pretty catchy and is certainly miles ahead of dreck like Good Charlotte, the Ataris, etc. in terms of quality. Also, Dashboard doesn't seem to pander quite so sickeningly to the 13-year old kid audience as these other groups do. Surprisingly, I think the new Dashboard album entered the charts at #2, so SOMEBODY likes it. This seems like the kinda record that will inspire alotta negative comments around here. Now's your chance...have fun.

yes..somebody does like it. they also drink lots of milk and wear neatly frayed sweaters. they also believe that coldplay are deep and cutting edge....i haven't heard it though. does he cry and whine as much as usual on it?
Dashboard Confessional better quality than the Ataris?
I personally don't agree with that,but whatever.
They have 5 CD's,plus a split/ep...
and grouping them together with Good Charlotte is just plain wrong.
I'll be seeing them next month in Austin with MxPx, Brand New, and Vendetta Red...I just wanna go see Mike from MxPx and Brand New. Not to keen on Dashboard...I can only stand it for so long.
dashboard makes me want to slit my wrists and his and get it over with....rrrrrrr..really cant stand this guy and i think the only people he does appeal to anymore are 13 year olds. i once had a pycho ex who played dashboard songs on my answering machine after we broke up.
dashboard has kinda always been a sing along band with lyrics that aren't so catchy, but tell a story. the new c.d. is kinda catchy with choruses, and personally, it's not that great.
