Stiv Bator was just a rockin' man, in my humble opinion.

"Russian Roulette" and "Portabello" rawk.

Testify.

I really dig the Dead Boys. I think that We Have Come For Your Children is even better than Young, Loud and Snotty. I also think Stiv's power pop solo stuff was really cool. The Lords were OK but not up to those standards. Also, I wanna pay tribute to The Adverts, whose song "New Church" was the source of the Lords' name. Late 70's punk RULES!

yes! lords! yes! dead boys!!! yes! stiv solo! some of my all time fave shit. saw the lords once, as well as the dead boys. both were amazing. somewhere out there, is the last recordings stiv made with johnny thunders on guitar, rat scabies on drums, dee dee ramone on bass, and michael monroe (hanoi rocks) on sax/harmonica. now, how fuckin' cool is that? it IS out there, but i'm not sure how legit the release is. i've spoken to a few who say that the line up actaully differs. as far as the lords go, i really dug the "psycho sex" ep. hard to find, but well worth the price!

In "Please Kill Me" they talk about those sessions, and how Dee Dee got so pissed off because nobody had any discipline so he destroyed Jonny Thunders guitar. I would love to hear that stuff.

i heard that the lords are reuniting with a different singer.

the guys from suburban bitch stayed at our house for a week when their van broke down, and i went to play the first lotnc album, and josh queerwulf flipped out, and made me play "young, loud, and snotty".

Sadly it's true (everybody has to eat I guess). I've met Dave Treg a few times, he's a great guy and seemed happy to play with Brian James again. I avoided asking about Stiv last time I saw him...

And I totally agree with Ava, Method to my madness blew me away the first time I heard it.

M.Drive, the CD you're talking about was released 2 or 3 years ago. I'm not sure Mike Monroe was on it though (and I fuckin can't remember the name of this record either)
