Okay, here's one: If you could put together your all-star fantasy dream band, who would you put in it and why?

i have four favorite guitarists ; page, clapton, santana and hendrix. within the group setting ill go with page on lead and clapton on rhythm. on the drums would be neil peart, with apologies to keith moon and danny karey of tool. on the bass would have to be flea or les claypool. flea would be my choice in the band setting again. as a singer, wow, geoff tate of queensryche has a voice that is a gift from god. then i would need a female vocalist who could double as a keyboard/piano player. id have to go with either annie lennox, alicia keyes, sara mcclachlan or tori amos. the most hypnotic of those voices would be either mcclachlan or amos. so there it is ; geoff tate, jimmy page, eric clapton, flea, neil peart and tori amos. with keyes, mclachlan and lennox as backup singers. chuck d could mc and rap and mark farina could spin the beats if needed. do you think all their styles would mix well? tongue

Wow! Well, if Elton John and Axl Rose can share a stage, I suppose anythingis possible, right?

It is a pretty sick lineup, though!! It would be interesting to hear how Geoff and Tori's voices mesh. Your rhythm section is pretty badass!

i think tate and amos could do some serious shit together. flea and peart with clapton and page. i mean, clapton is the bluesman, slowhand and page is just the sickest riffer of all time. are we going to get youe lineup?

I keep going back and forth on this...

vox: Freddie Mercury would be up there and I'm a HUGE Jeff Scott Soto fan. Not a lot of people know who he is, but that dude can sing and it frustrates me that Journey dumped him after he bailed them out on tour.

guitar: Eddie Van Halen and Eric Clapton. Eddie V can throw down like no other and his rhythm playing is way underrated because of his leads. And Clapton is his hero. That's why he plays the guitar. So the two of them together? Plus, Eddie could step aside and play piano too.

bass: Probably Flea, although Les and Billy Sheehan are pretty amazing.

drums: John Bonham. Peart and Danny Carey would be up there too. Those three are in another world.

exactly how much cocaine do you need to be on to not only entertain the mere notion of covering that song, but to look at yourself in that video and say, "oh yeah. nice one."
