excellent point...which starts me wondering...where are the Robert Cray, Robert Johnson, Jerry, and Stevie Ray Vaughn fans?...to name some of the regular guitar heroes...

I'm glad they put in Slint. They are so neglected. Blood Sugar Sex Magik is my favorite album and the music is perfect. As far as from the Punk Era goes...Hmm. Good question.
