Hi everyone. We just found out that my band Call Me Alice made the cut for the top 50 bands in the 3rd Annual "The American Music Awards Presents The Coca-Cola New Music Award" Competition. If we win we will get to perform LIVE on the 31st Annual American Music Awards on ABC-TV on November 16, 2003 hosted by The Osbournes which would kick ass! biggrin

Can I bug you to visit theNew Music Award website and help out by rating my band a "5"? It only takes a second and you don't have to register or anything lame like that.

Click here, choose CALL ME ALICE, choose "5", the click the "Rate Em" button !!!

Thanks so much!!!

Does your band suck? How would we know?

This website is full of music elitists. Lazy music elitists. You'd have to be the second Ramones to get them to click a goddamn link. smile

I'm serious. Can we get an mp3 or something before we vote to put you on national television?

I voted..twice :sneek: I was born in San Diego so that was just another reason to vote for you. Good luck with everything! They have to be good to atleast make the cut...I'm sure they'll be better then a lot of other b/s out there.

Yeah, I found the mp3s. And it is... certainly.... music.

I haven't been a member all that long, but I'm already tired of these vanity threads. Especially the ones that say "Click here! We rock! K? Bye!" And we never hear from them again.

I know the music biz is all about contacts and connections, but there isn't actually any communication going on here. This thread is spam.

Ok Pensquare it's obvious you hate this thread and am bitter that I had some nerve to post this message. Whatever. If you don't dig it then why do you keep coming back and posting on this thread? There are music clips at that site and our website for those who care to hear what my band sounds like and participate.

I'm not trying to offend anyone and I don't see anything wrong with SG members posting and promoting their bands in the Music section of this Board. Go figure? Music, bands, news...they go hand in hand in this forum. I'm an active SG member and participate regularly on the site. Furthermore, I'm completely down with supporting SG members in whatever other ventures they have that don't conflict with the SG website rules and feel that the SG community is a place for members to share events that happen in their lives. This happens to be an event in my life so I'm sharing it. So sue me? Why am I different from any other member on this site for doing so?

Anyway, thanks so much to those of you who voted and offered your support. smile

The American Music Awards is kind of a showcase of mediocrity If that's what you're striving for then good luck.

Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. wink
