Rancid are so kewl, they hang out with Good Charlotte AND Kelly Osbourne. At the same time! Wow.

Was Tim Armstrong really in Op Ivy or did I just hallucinate it?

Fuck the attitude and the sarcasm. I like rancid and have since the beginning. They have stayed true to what they do and it's about as punk as it gets niowadays. So if you don't like them tough, there are far worse bands out there. Go pick on linkin park or limp bizkit. but leave rancid alone I;m a loyal fan and will always be.

I saw them at warped this year and they have not lost their edge. So please do not bring the hate around here.

Tim Armstrong was in Opivy. So was Matt Freeman the bassist. Also, Tim is the guitarist/singer of transplants.
Rancid is and will always be good. wink

Hell they could cover the entire album Cut The Crap and it would still be better than any of their original material

Rancid can do no wrong, even their bad stuff is still pretty good. Bag on Life Won't Wait all you want, its a good album and the new one should be just as interesting.

I've had the new album for like six weeks now and it is still fucking amazing everytime i put it on. Rancid has heart. They are fucking great people and amazing musicians and they write beautiful songs. Their music has never been false or fabricated, they tell the truth with every song. If you don't think they are punk enough, thats fine, they dont give a fuck. They're never gonna stop. Okay, I'm done.

p.s. The Clash are the best band in the world (happy birthday Joe), and I am proud to call Rancid my second favorite band.

I always thought that Rancid were a half way decent Clash tribute band. Not that I'd heard the Clash originals that they were covering, but still, they covered them pretty well.

Op Ivy, Rancid, Lars Frederksen & the Bastards, the Transplants... it's all good.

I love Rancid. Punk, not punk who gives a fuck?! It's all rock n roll.

Lars is one cool motherfucker.

Rancid is one of the hardest working bands out there these days. If you spent a day in the life of any of these guys you'd recognize the immense dedication they have to the music they produce. They certainly didn't take the high road like other bands of their time and chose to do things themselves, which means they've sacrificed a lot of the rock star lifestyle their peers enjoy. Maybe thier music is not for everyone, but they love what they do, and they're really good at it. If the crowds at Warped Tour this year were any indication, I'd say they've still got an incredibly loyal fan base. And Brett Reed is the hottest mo' fo' around. And "Django" off the new record is a really rad song.
