You should have included some Ben Folds.
Because everyone in the world needs to listen to B'Fo.

But y'know, decent list.
What was the purpose of the compilation?

I've only ever heard of three of those groups, and only actually heard one of them.

Same here, but I've heard all three. I can't say it's a good selection, because I've just never heard most of it, but it's a good thing to introduce new music. I'm going to go check this stuff out right now.

Ben Folds is good.

I love that Dan Deacon song so much.

That's a pretty good selection there, but whenever I'm using a mix to seduce someone, I like to include a sexy song in another language. That way, if they like you, they'll go to look up the song's lyrics and learn that you are hitting on them in a classy, erudite way.

My go-to is generally Causey Way's "Te Como Vivo."

Dan Deacon is so hot right now. Dan Deacon. I posted that video in my last journal.

Here he is on a local morning show (!?)

Also: Don't put the funny Positive K song on so close to the beginning.

I made a CD for this professor I'm totally in love with. I put the log song from Ren and Stimpy on there and she went wild...well maybe not wild, but she liked it a lot. Point is, throw a little something at the end to get her all nostalgic. It parts oceans as far as conversation goes.

I'm not so crazy that I made a CD for my professor out of the blue...she wanted the Thom Yorke album and I threw some extra stuff at the end, you know, so I wouldn't waste perfectly good CD space.

well to make a long boring story very short, there are circumstances on her end (struggling to make a living as a free lance artist while raising a kid and dealing with an obsessive, violent, stalkerish ex) that chances are will prevent anything serious developing between us, so i guess this was more fun and flirty than omg-i'm-gonna-make-you-mine

here is a link to grovesnor's myspace. 'nitemoves', the mix opener, is pretty much the Summer Sex Jam of 2007, both lyrically and musically

Niiiiiiice!

Nomatter what, just choose the music from your heart, which I suppose you've already done. I tried to download your playlist for a while, but it was a complete failure. I'll be sure to check out Grovesnor's myspace. Even if she hates it all, the gesture is sweet and the cover is spiffy.
