In case there was any doubt, it's safe to say that English indie darlings Art Brut have mastered the art of enjoying themselves. Unlike other bands of their ilk, they refuse to take themselves too seriously and realize you can still make artistically relevant, yet fun rock & roll records. This summer, the group is inviting fans to join in on the fun by scheduling some good old fashioned karaoke contests to coincide with the release of their latest album, It's A Bit Complicated.



Head on down to your nearest Beauty Bar (LA, NY, Austin and San Francisco - I'm looking at you) on June 18 and get ready to sing Art Brut songs to a room full of other fans. The band will be supplying the bars with a disc full of instrumental versions of new tunes and old ones for your karaoke pleasure. Step up to the mic and go for it.



Of course, prizes will be awarded to the, eh, best Art Brut impersonator of the evening. After you properly embarrass yourself, wash the pain away by hearing the way the songs should sound; It's A Bit Complicated hits stores mere hours later on June 19.



Fans should also get their TiVo's ready; the band recently confirmed that they'll be appearing on the July 11th Late Night With Conan O'Brien.
