MUSIC: Daft Punk Movie To Get North American Screenings

As reported a little over a year ago, French robot rockers Daft Punk are not only responsible for funky house and live spectacles, they've also made a film. Electroma, which follows the story of two robots on a quest to become human, premiered at least year's Cannes Film Festival.



Thankfully for curious American fans, a number of screenings will be taking place over the next couple of months. Following those, the good people at Vice Records will release the movie on DVD so we can all watch the two Frenchman ifrom the comfort of our own living rooms.

And of course, not that you've forgotten, the duo will be on tour on these shores later this summer. When I mentioned live spectacle earlier, I really meant it. Do not miss them. Additionally, start sniffing around local nightclubs as those tour dates get closer; the pair are not strangers to local, unannounced DJ gigs sans robot masks.

Cool, I gotta watch out for this. I loved Interstella 5555.

I got my tickets for their NY, NY show a couple months ago, the moment they went on sale. I am more than a little excited to see my favorite group come back to America after a decade away!
